( The first time George realised his days had begun to take on a pattern, he went out and scoped out a few interesting merchant’s houses; like he used to do in the old days. Of course he made sure Alanna never found out. And it wasn’t as if he actually stole anything. He just missed the excitement, of not knowing what was coming around the corner. )
